Off The Record L.L.C. was established in 2006 by Doug Benson and David Sager, to offer fresh transfers of rare jazz recordings on compact discs. The first OTR release, King Oliver Off The Record: The Complete 1923 Jazz Band Recordings snagged Sager a Grammy nomination for his excellent album notes, and earned Benson wide recognition for his restoration of these exceptionally rare discs.
